Pumpkin Carving with the Muppets

Since Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker have already gone ghost hunting, it would make perfect sense for their next Halloween-related experiment to focus on the grand tradition of carving Jack O’Lanterns. Thankfully, we can see it all thanks to the official themuppetlabs Youtube channel:

Similarly, MuppetsStudio has a hilarious pumpkin carving video featuring the Swedish Chef:

Speaking of the Swedish Chef, I’d like to take the opportunity to share an unofficial Muppet mash-up from SWARTOVISION, which features my favorite Korpiklaani tune (“Wooden Pints”):

I know I’ve mentioned this before, but don’t forget to visit ToughPigs for their annual Muppets Halloween Parade. Last year’s was a hoot and I’m sure 2012 will offer even more amazing (and awful) costumes, along with plenty of snarky commentary.

Ghost Hunting with the Muppets

It’s no secret that we here at Gravedigger’s Local 16 love puppets, especially the Muppets. So you can imagine how delighted I was to find this ghost-hunting demonstration by Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker, straight from the official themuppetlabs Youtube channel:

I was originally going to save this for the next installment of my “horror trivia” series, but it just felt right to do it now: Dr. Honeydew’s gorilla detector invention, as shown here, bears an uncanny resemblance to the head of Mechani-Kong from King Kong Escapes. Methinks someone at Jim Henson Studios was a fan of Japanese monster movies…

It’s time to meet the Muppets…

Not only has the fansite Toughpigs.com spent a week with Halloween-related Muppets stuff, but they also have an semi-annual “Halloween Parade” of Muppet costumes:

First Halloween parade
Second Halloween parade
Third Halloween parade
Fourth Halloween parade
Fifth Halloween parade

Some are good, some are bad, and others defy description, but the comments are all great. Here’s hoping they’ll do it again this year.
